The informal nature and speed of tools such as Hipchat, Slack, and Microsoft Teams are doing a lot to make teams more productive and collaborative.
However, it also makes gossiping and joking easy. This can make it easier to put down things in writing that you’d never want read out loud (in a courtroom, for example).
